Technology in education allows us to create broader communities from which we can all learn, share, and grow. This process requires a cultural shift in how schools integrate professional development, how teachers innovate in the classroom, and how students are motivated and challenged to learn. This session will share examples from my experience leading several large scale technology initiatives. Participants will leave with an understanding of how schools must plan and prepare a shift in thinking towards instructional design, in classroom practice and management, and in how we motivate and challenge our students each day--before bringing in technology.
